Seismic Tremors

Dense black forms gather and loosen across the surface, their edges fractured by fine linear disruptions. The composition carries a sense of internal vibration, where pressure builds unevenly and releases in irregular bursts. Rather than settling into equilibrium, the work holds motion in suspension, suggesting a moment just before or after shift.

Created as a monotype, ink is layered, lifted, and reworked by hand to generate compression and resistance within the image. Once the print was pulled, additional ink markings were added directly onto the surface, intensifying the sense of rhythm, rupture, and controlled release.

The artwork is framed in a slim contemporary walnut wooden frame using Standard Glass.
