Drift Mark I

Red and black tones register moments of contact and restraint, suggesting tension held quietly rather than released. The composition reflects on impermanence, where simple gestures leave lasting traces without fully settling into form.

Created as a monotype, pigment is pressed and lifted to capture the residue of folded surfaces. The image emerges through contact and withdrawal, allowing chance and control to coexist within a single, unrepeatable impression.

The artwork is framed in a slim contemporary white aluminium frame using Standard Glass.
