Tectonic Notion

Dense black forms press and fold into one another, interrupted by lighter passages and fine, unsettled lines. The composition suggests forces moving beneath a calm surface, where tension accumulates slowly rather than erupting. The work holds stillness and disruption in delicate balance.

Created as a monotype, ink is layered, lifted, and reworked by hand to build depth and resistance within the image. Once the print was pulled, additional ink markings were added directly onto the surface, responding to the initial impression and extending the sense of movement and pressure.

The artwork is framed in a slim contemporary walnut wooden frame using Standard Glass.
