Saturation

Circular forms repeat across the surface until they press against each other and begin to lose their edges. Crimson bleeds through where the black thins out, holding the memory of an earlier layer beneath the accumulated ground. The surface has reached a state where addition is no longer possible without loss.

Ink on Fabriano paper, built through the repeated application of a circular form until accumulation overwhelms the individual mark. The crimson underlay suggests an earlier state that the subsequent ink both covers and preserves, remaining visible where the top layer thins or lifts slightly.

The artwork is framed in a slim contemporary black aluminium frame using Art Glass.
